VARGA 3000 Shooting Glasses
High quality, versatile and adjustable product
The 37 mm metal support for the corrective lens is delivered mounted on the glasses as standard and allows adjustment in height, angle and rotation.
The shooter must go to the ophthalmologist with these glasses so that the professional can fit him with a graduated lens suitable for his vision so that, with them, he can see perfectly the front sight of the pistol, not something else, not the target, not the rear sights of the weapon or anything else. You have to see the front sight of the pistol perfectly, the rest is accessory (we do all this by adopting the position that is taken when aiming with a pistol in the Olympic manner - arm extended shooting with one hand).
The glasses have steel temples with springs to hold on to the shooter's ears and prevent the glasses from moving during shooting.
Valid glasses for pistol and/or rifle shooters because they allow the entire frame to be raised above the bridge of the nose.
The nose support moves regularly in height and angle and has a soft silicone pad for the skin.
The eye screen that does not act for aiming can be adjusted in height and angle. Apart from that, the screen can be raised to be able to see and carry out the operations of loading the weapon.
The glasses are delivered in a padded transport box.
The Varga 3000 glasses allow the use of accessory elements such as colour filters or polarising filters with a support and a universal centre cone.

What are shooting glasses for?
Shooting glasses are essential for competition shooting with a pistol or rifle for several reasons, but the main one is that if we cannot see correctly we will have difficulty aiming.
From a certain age onwards, human beings gradually lose the ability to focus on two different points located on the same line of sight, but distant from each other (the sights of the weapon and the target). Even if we do not have a visual defect, that is, even if we do not need corrective lenses to see the aim of the pistol well, our eye, with age, loses the ability to focus on the target and the aim of the pistol at the same time. To solve this, we use a diaphragm (iris) mounted on the lens holder of the shooting glasses. By closing it we gain definition of the target without losing the definition of the gun's aiming point.
If we add to the above, some visual defect that prevents us from seeing the gun's aiming point correctly and forces us to mount corrective lenses, the need for shooting glasses to support the corrective lens and the diaphragm (iris) in the same assembly is clear.
In addition to this, we use a tilting screen to cover the eye that does not act in the aiming phase of the weapon, thus avoiding problems of fatigue because we can keep the eye open, even if we do not use it (the screen does not allow vision).
Shooting glasses allow the corrective lens to be placed in a position facing the eye, even when we are adopting the shooting posture, which is usually forced, because they allow the corrective lens to rotate on its axis and move in height and sideways. Thus, when we adopt the shooting posture, not at any other time, we will be looking where we should look to correctly see the sights of the weapon and the target.
All the problems that a shooter faces with respect to his vision and the ability to correctly see the sights of the weapon and the shooting targets are solved by using shooting glasses. Don't forget, shooting glasses are more important to a shooter than the weapon itself.
Always use shooting glasses for competition shooting. If you use a 37 mm lens, it is suitable for a pistol, if you use a 23 mm lens, it is suitable for a competition rifle. Apart from this, the rifle lens is usually mounted on an articulated support so that it can be placed as close as possible to the shooter's eye.
The screws on the Varga glasses allow the placement of the different elements of the glasses to the most convenient measurement for us, use them to adjust the position of the lens holder, the position of the screen, the nose support, etc. It is very important to correctly adjust the position of the corrective lens with respect to the eye we use to aim.
The diaphragm will make us see the target with greater or lesser definition depending on whether we close or open it, full closure is maximum definition of the target (bull's-eye) in the distance.
Mr. Miroslav Varga, a former Olympic shooting champion from the Czech Republic, designed the Varga glasses to be a useful instrument for shooters, with good quality but at an adjusted price.
Shooting glasses must have a construction must be robust and at the same time light because they are intended to last for many years in the hands of the user and be comfortable for shooting. In this product, lightness and durability are especially sought, which is why Varga glasses are made with a good quality elastic steel rod.
The large number of adjustments in the fundamental elements of shooting glasses, such as the lens holder, the eye cover and the nose support, make Varga glasses perfectly adaptable to the shooter, adjusting all their parameters to the needs of the shooter.
Normally, when a shooter achieves the correct adjustment of his shooting glasses, he no longer wants to part with them for anything in the world because although it is pleasant to adjust them, it is part of the game of shooting, it is true that it requires some knowledge and a certain effort, like everything that is valuable in this world. Seeing the sights of the gun correctly, distinguishing the contours of the target in the distance as best as possible and feeling comfortable with your shooting glasses is an important task that every shooter must undertake and that when achieved is certainly appreciated.
The elements of the Varga 3000 glasses are all metal. The supports of the adjustable elements are built in aluminum and steel and have a design that allows full regulation of the element they support. These supports are of good quality and never fail, at least that is our experience from 25 years of selling Varga glasses.
Spring-loaded temples are essential in shooting glasses. It is vital that the glasses, once placed, do not move. If shooting glasses move, they are simply not suitable for shooting because they invalidate all the adjustments that we have worked so hard to make. The springs in the temples prevent, no matter what, the glasses move. Do not buy glasses that are supposedly suitable for shooting if they do not have spring-loaded temples, they are simply not suitable.
In any case, in the event of accidental breakage of parts of the product, AYALA Supplies can replace these elements within a short period of time.
