The ATAMAN house in Moscow (Russia) has manufactured a beautiful compressed air gun PCP system. It is a powerful, precise and very well finished weapon that recalls, in some of its lines, the famous American Colt GOVERMENT.
This pistol is unparalleled in the world market, there is no other pneumatic pistol with its technical and ballistic characteristics (we are talking about pure air guns, not PCP cut-off carbines), it is a gun with such a careful manufacture that it surprises, is all power, it is all precision and it is all beauty, it is a pleasure to shoot an ATAMAN AP 16.
ATAMAN only manufactures top quality pneumatic weapons. The materials used, the quality of the machining of the same and an excellent completion in the manufactured make ATAMAN weapons high quality products. When we speak of ATAMAN, we speak of high-end pneumatic rifles and pistols, 100% free of manufacturing defects with total reliability and surprising durability.
ALWAYS USE JSB Exact or similar SEMI-SPHERICAL HEADS.
Balines to use with an ATAMAN pistol, CAN NOT BE FLAT HEAD BALINES (Diabolo Match).
Accessory items not expressly indicated as included in the price of the weapon are not included in the price of the weapon
(The after-sales service of this brand is handled in Spain by our own house always with original parts and spare parts. The warranty against manufacturing defects is 2 years from the date of purchase indicated on the invoice of our company.)
AIR COMPRESSED CYLINDER
The ATAMAN AP16 compressed air gun is delivered with a refillable pressurized air cylinder capable of supporting up to 300 bar.
It can be filled with:
Bottle of air compressed.
TO CHARGE THE COMPRESSED AIR CYLINDER, DO NOT REMOVE IT FROM THE GUN, it is loaded directly mounted on the gun.
ATTENTION: IF YOU REMOVE THE COMPRESSED AIR CYLINDER FROM THE GUN DO NOT FORGET TO MOUNT THE WEAPON TRIGGER BEFORE INSERTING THE CYLINDER AGAIN, IF YOU DO NOT DO SO YOU WILL LOSE ALL THE AIR BY THE WEAPON CANYON
The gun is delivered with two quick connectors (probes) to charge pressure, one with Foster coupler and the other with a 1/8 "male thread coupler that attach to the outputs of the Hill, Gehmann pumps etc. ( almost all pumps have the same hook).
The coupling with Foster system that comes with the gun is male and requires that a female Foster connector be mounted on the tip of the hose of the pump, bottle or compressor to make the connection. That female Foster connector can be purchased here, on this website.
How to make pressure loading:
Take one of the connectors, the one that best suits you, for example the Foster that is the most comfortable, mount it on the tip of the hose of the pump or the bottle or the compressor (remember, you have to mount a female Foster the exit of that hose) and once assembled it enters in the drill that the deposit of the pistol has near the body of the weapon. Insert the connector directly carefully, rotate it slowly while pushing it.
IMPORTANT: Before starting to load the cylinder (especially if the cylinder is empty), YOU MUST ASSEMBLE THE TRIGGER OF THE GUN, if you do not do so, all the air will escape through the barrel of the weapon.
Once the connection is made, start pumping or open the tap of the bottle or compressor, the pressure gauge will start working.
If you are loading with a manual pump, pay special attention to the intermediate connections - pump to hose to Foster connector to the gun connector at the entrance to the gun - if they are not completely sealed, you will not be able to carry out the loading. When loading with a pump, you should notice opposition or resistance when pumping and the pressure gauge of the pump should move, if that is not the case, the air is escaping from the circuit.
IMPORTANT: When the pressure in the compressed air cylinder of the gun is less than the minimum allowed (100 bar), when making a shot X, all the residual air will be expelled by the gun barrel, do not try to use the gun with less 100 bar pressure in the cylinder. Avoid that the tank is at zero pressure, if loading with manual pump will require an important effort to raise the pressure, the ideal is to fill pressure, whatever the filling system, with a minimum of 120 bars. If you load with manual pump, do it when the tank is at 120 bars, no more no less.
To load from bottles of compressed air unless they are bottles specially prepared for this function as the Breathing you can buy on this website, you must have a charging station with a trap (you can also buy it on this website) because once If you have reached the desired pressure load, you have to use the bleeder in the charging station so that the pressure of the connection hose drops to zero and thus you can remove the cylinder connector, CAUTION !! Do not forget to do this, if you do not remove the connector there will be a small unpleasant detonation that can damage the air connector and lose the tires. If you load with pump you also have to use the pump trap to empty the water produced during the pressure loading and to lower the pressure in the connection hose, if you load with compressor you must also purge to remove. With a hand pump you should not load more than 220 bars although some can reach 250 bars it is not advisable to get so much pressure with a pump.
VERY IMPORTANT !!! MAKE SURE THE CYLINDER IS INSERTED IN THE BODY OF THE GUN 100%, otherwise it will have air losses.
- CYLINDRICAL BALINES MAGAZINE
Fill the pellets magazine with your hand, do not use flat head bullets with pointed or unusual shapes, use only round head bullets (JSB, H.N. etc. but with a round head). Take special care that the pellets are correctly inserted in the magazine, the pellets must be inserted 100% in its housing, if the pellet is not inserted properly, we will have problems with the loading system, the magazine will not rotate properly and jams will occur.
Once the magazine is filled, open the lever to mount the trigger located on the left side of the weapon, a small black lever, open it until the end, until you notice that the trigger has mounted, you will notice it in the fingers. Insert the charger on the left side of the gun in the guides that you have for it and take care that it is correctly inserted, to check this, to bring the lever back to its place should not occur "shocks", if you notice that something prevents closing the lever gently is that the loader is not correctly placed, move it slightly with your left hand while pushing the lever gently ride forward until you notice that the entrance of the pellet in the chamber of the barrel is produced correctly and smoothly .
With the shots, each time we activate the riding lever, the magazine will jump and the different pellets will go into the chamber of the barrel, thus until exhausting the 7 shots of the magazine
- HOW TO MODIFY THE POWER OF THE WEAPON. MODIFICATION OF PELLET SPEED
At the back of the weapon, an Allen screw inserted into a deep hole appears, if we loosen it, the power of the weapon will decrease, if we tighten it, it will go up. Operate carefully, if the screw has reached its stop, do not try to force it, it will break the power modification system. A poorly calculated power control prevents trigger operation.
- HOW TO MODIFY THE CHARACTERISTICS OF THE TRIGGER
See the cut image of the side drawing of the trigger
1 - Speed adjustment screw; 2 - Trigger tension adjustment screw; 3 - Trigger weight adjustment screw; 4 - Trigger setting screw (secondary); 5 - Friction driver adjustment screw 6 - Trigger adjustment screw (secondary); 7 - Trigger; 8 - Transferor; 9 - Secondary transferor; 10 - Hammer; 11 - Pellet pusher (bolt); 12 - Handle screw; 13 - Handle screw nut.
To modify the characteristics of the trigger operate with great care, if you make an inappropriate regulation it may happen that the trigger does not work.
- THE SIGHT OF THE WEAPON
The pistol has fixed sights, rear and sight point, is a weapon that emulates the Colt Goverment service pistol.
- THE BARREL OF THE WEAPON
The ATAMAN house has barrels of two lengths that can be exchanged in the same pistol body and cylinders of two lengths that can be exchanged in the same pistol body but, what can not be done is to use a cylinder mounted on a pistol of cal. .22" in a gun cal. .177", the cylinders are factory-adjusted for each specific gauge, it is not possible to exchange them. The guns, obviously not either.
The ATAMAN barrel, for any caliber, allows the installation of a muffler of the own brand, it is threaded on the tip of the barrel removing a trim that shows the thread for the silencer.
The barrel can be changed from long to short and vice versa, being of the same caliber. Removing the two screws that hold them, located in the upper part of the chamber, the barrel is pulled forward simply pulling it, the placement of the new is simple, due to the effect of the gun covers, which does not allow another position, are placed just press it and hold it with the two screws that we removed to remove it.
The gun covers have valid guides for installing 11 mm guides (universal) aiming systems and allows the installation of optical scopes, red dots, holographic sights, etc.
- THE GRIP
The entire frame of the ATAMAN AP 16 pistol is made of solid, milled and polished aluminum, the handle has precise housings for the installation of the original laminated wood sheets with which the house gun is equipped. The handle assembly is attached to the body of the weapon by a long set screw.
IMPORTANT: THE GUN ATAMAN AP 16 IS NOT A TOY, IT IS A COMPRESSED AIR GUN POWERFUL AND VERY PRECISE. The use in shooting galleries at 25 meters as a training and learning weapon for shooting with real weapons makes it clear that their use should be as careful and cautious as that of any other.
